I have a VGN-FW31Z. I want to use my Laptop for viewing BluRay discs (or DVD's) but when linking by HDMI cable to my SONY TV .. KDL-40W2000, I do not seem to be able to get any sound through the TV although the sound is OK on the Laptop.
I think I have checked the Sound Playback settings on Control Panel, and it shows 'Digital Audio (HDMI)' - ATI HDMI Audio - Not plugged in. The properties indicate that the device is working properly, and indicates that it is enabled.
What have I missed? any ideas gratefully received
