Hi there. This has nothing to do with accounts sync I think. I hade the same problem. This problem occur sometimes and the fix is easy. When you notice that the battery is draining fast and Android os is the cause, just shutdown your phone and power it on again.

Problem solved. It happens sometimes but not very often. Maybe its some kind of bug in ICS, because I did not had this kind of issue in GB. In 587 build it has not happen till now.

its an easy fix, but don't know why it is happening. I think that some process hangs ....

I also have this problem, and while the shutdown/restart process does seem to be effective, I have also found that certain apps seem to make the problem worse - and more persistent.

The app I identified as causing the problem to get worse seemed to do the damage even if it wasn't running. And I did believe at one point that even after uninstalling it the problem continued, meaning that a reinstall of the OS was needed to get back to more normal battery usage. I can't now quite believe this can be necessary, but it might be worth a try.

I suggest you consider uninstalling all the apps you have downloaded, and see if the absence of apps makes the Android OS problem improve. If it does, re-install the apps one at a time, keeping an eye on battery usage.

It has to be said that, even without Android OS eating the battery alive, battery life is rather disappointing.

This seems normal to me. When i first got the mini pro it was about 12 hours a day with full usage.

After ICS update I get about 14 hours a day usage.

I would also be happy if my phone gives this backup with "full usage" but this xperia mini pro is giving the above quoted backup "without any usage".
Accounts & sync - Turned Off
No calls entertained, sent No messages.
The phone is simply on a stanby mode.
