I'm not sure of what exact support that will be included when installing the ICS update and exactly what it can handle in GB, but as far as I've heard and understood there has been some work done concerning GPS for that update. Hopefully this might be included.

What do you think about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

So, from what I understand the ICS performs worse than GB regarding GPS, and the GB as far as I am concerned is not performing good at all......Seems the GPS on the GO is a big failure.....A straight answer from Sony about the GPS performance of the Xperia Go would be appreciated since the more I read about it it seems that something is very bad designed, hardware or software......

I know I've tried Google maps, Navfree, Ndrive, Sygic and Copilot

Is it true that Arc, Ray and Neo got GLONASS support with the ICS update

and GO which is the "outdoors" type of phone is still struggling with just GPS support

and it seems that it's not even A-GPS considering how long it takes to

lock in on a fix. when I say long I mean it may never find your position if you are

just waitning ofr it and not to something about it like enable-disable several times than move a little etc...

The sad thing is Sony knew that GPS works really poor with Xperia Go

Did a new test of the GPS today....

Setup: Put the phone as far front towards the window in my car so that no sheet metal disturbs the signals. Put on GPS and GPS test. Drove for abt 20 mins on highway, no trees or buildings to block the signal. Checked the phone every 5 mins, no lock, not even a signal. After driving I took out the phone (at home where I know there is good GPS signal) and let it stay put in open air for 13 more minutes, still no signal. Abandoned test.

And this from a phone that has come directly from service center where it has been for repairing the GPS.............Speechless...
