data traffic notification pop up problem

I was using xperia sola with ICS.It had a problem with data traffic.If data traffic is enabled,then the data traffic notification pop up will come frequently in every 5 or 6 minutes or so..this happens when keeping the phone idle,if we are brwsing internet, problem will not occur.there will b around 10-20 pop ups in every hour.I have reinstalled the software,changed the sim card..but no use.Now i went to sony customer care centre and they downgraded to Andriod 2.3.7...But still the problem exists even worse than before.This is something irritating to press ok for all the pop ups appeared before doing anything with mobile.any way to get rid of this problem.....???

This is not a Android/Sony provided function. Most likely it's a push notification from your operator which triggers every time you have finished a GPRS session. As the phone connects every now and then to check for updates you therefor get a message every time it's done.

Contact your operator and check with them.
