Poor Wifi

Does anyone have poor Wifi reception with the Xperia Z1

I have various phones in the house and they all show 3 or 4 bars while the Xperia shows only one?

facing the same issue. low wifi signal strength and low range compaired to note2, s4 and iphone 5

I don't have any phone from another brand to compare with here but i compared Z1 with a Z and ZL and the reception is about the same when testing with WiFi analyzer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer).

I would recommend that you contact your dealer or a service location to compare your phone with another Z1, Z or ZL.

Me too Experiencing the same problem, Wi fi Signals are quite weak as compared to other handsets. I compared with lumia 710. Wifi Router is D-Link 2.4GHz

Hi. Im facing the same issue. Regarding my others devices the. Z1 is a real sh... What does Sony do for People who have spend so much money to have the best ???!!!!!!

I just bought Z1 for my wife. Very very weak Wifi reception. Her old Galaxy S2 gets much stronger signal.

What can I do?

I have blackberry samsung and htc all.show 3 bars where sony z1 shows one bar
Wifi is bad

Hey, I am located in The Netherlands and facing the same problems here as well. Was wondering if more people are having weak wifi reception. This kinda **bleep**...The rest of the phone is just great, but this is such a downer.

I compared my Z1 to a HTC and Samsung and these phones got the full 4 bars, my Z1 just nothing or one silly poor dot.

Sony. please fix this.

I have the same exact issue. I have a WiFi router in the room next door (~2-3meters away) and my Z1 drops the connection ( or it has one bar signal strenght).

Comnpared to my SGS2 the signal is -77dBm (galaxy) vs - 60dBm(xperia) !

I also have this problem. All my other devices have better reception. Can this bad reception be improved by software updates or is this a hardware problem?

haha i also had the S2 Love it , and also battling with low WIFI should i take it back to the shop its only 7 hrs old?

Indeed, have this phone now for more then a year.

And it just keeps on letting me down due to the poor wifi connection.

Everything else on this phone is simply superb, but the wifi each time makes me feel like i was cheated with the purchase...

Is there anyone who has found a way to improve this terrible reception issue?

Would be great!!!
