Thanks for the answer...the GPS setting is "only device"...

But even if I select "high precision" the phone should not be turn on Wi-Fi because there isn't known Wi-Fi...

There is something wrong in location based GPS function.

I have now only one wi-fi saved on mi Z1c and when I travel in my car or I go far from my home with or without GPS on, the wifi turns on and off continuosly.

Tried all, clear cache, clear data, clear saved wi-fi..-nothing...why???
This is a picture of today: I'm travelling with my car 300KM far from my home wi-fi and wi-fi turns on and off except when I'm stopped where wifi remain off:

Check the "Scanning always available" option in the "Advanced" WiFi options (you get to them using the menu in the WiFi screen).

Unless it is unticked, the phone will activate WiFi against your manual override.

Also, is it possible that the device uses WiFi to increase location precision?

Check whether you are using "Device only" as your "location" mechanism and make sure you don't give in to Google Map's constant nagging to increase precision.
