Audio way out of sync when recording 4K video

I've contacted Sony about this and they told me to factory reset and connect it the the PC to "repair it". After I did this the problem still exsits. The audio is noticeably at least half a second before the movement of the mouth. I recorded a video and you can see here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2yepQ6aYwY

It's quite annoying. Especially after being told by a Sony customer support person that they aren't even aware of this as a problem.

Do you have the latest update

settings > about phone

which build number do you currently have?

I believe the repairing updated the phone.

Build number is - 17.1.A.2.55

it has to be approved by either your carrier/network or in your region.

Well I have a UK Sim-free unlocked handset. I would've though those would be among if not the first to get any update. Then again, since the HTC M7 Sense 6 update has been out for 3 weeks and people in Albania are getting the update before me, I guess I'm just unlucky.

I had the same problem with my Xperia Z2 but the newest software update 17.1.1.A.0.402 fixed all the problems. I am so happy I can film 4K without any problems now:)

In the UK it seems to be a bit different, in the sense that carriers/networks have to approve the update even for unlocked phones

So what is the situation for me then? I have an unlocked Z2 from the UK but I'm using it in Lithuania, on Omnitel, a carrier that doesn't sell the Z2. Will I ever get the update then? Or do I have to wait until I'm using a UK carrier sim inside of it? What a ridiculous way of doing things, Sony. That's kind of the appeal of buying sim-free and unlocked, you normally get faster updates than carrier models.

If you have an Unlocked UK phone you will have to wait till Sony UK approves the update. It doesn't matter that you use it in Lithuania and have Omnitel card.

I have Vodafone DE branded phone and use it in Lithuania with BITE SIM card. I got the newest upgrade when Vodafone from Germany approved it. In other words the updates only depend on where the phone was manufactured not where you are currently using it.
