I have been using Sony Xperia go for more than an year. I've already updated it to Jellybean(4.1.2). My battery life was used to be a day or so on normal usage. But now its reduced to 2-3hrs max. When the battery is charged to around 80% it shows 100% and when I disconnect the phone from charging and restart the phone, it shows 80%. Battery drain is too fast.I always force stop the apps which are not required, keep Wi-Fi switched off and use 2G internet. When I check the battery usage AndroidOS and Android system are eating around 30 to 40% of the battery, sometimes more than the battery used by screen.

Similarly when the battery level is 30% or so, phone experiences a sudden death and turns off showing battery level is 0%. And when I turn on the phone,it shows correct battery level around 30%.Then battery level reduces like a countdown timer.

I tried to repair the phone using PC companion and in the end of preparing stage,I'm getting an error message showing "Cannot connect to Sony server (error 10)". I can't recognize whether its battery problem or software problem.Looking for the solution to this problem. Please help.Thank you.

Maybe it's just the battery that has seen better days and needs to be replaced

Are you sure that this problem is not because of some bug? Does this happen if battery becomes old and needs to be replaced?

Yes this can and will happen as it won't be able to hold a charge - like for example a laptop battery - But as I said maybe consider replacing the battery
