    <description>&lt;P&gt;one more thing&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;please check your device memory!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;go to settings, in the apps section&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and see if the remaining Memory is sufficient for your device&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;sometimes if the memory is stuffed, there ain't enough room for notifications to work, it happened alot with my Arc S, especially when someone calls, i had to get into the call log to know that someone actually called&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;BR&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Koptan&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Sony´s support ignores the problem, they do not care at all!       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Roven&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;as you have kindly posted the link , it looks like it's a well known problem after the update, but everything can be sorted out, there is a reason for everything&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if you haven't already done so, please;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) remove any third party market applications that produce custom notifications, such as droid notify for ex..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) temporarily stop / force close any email client, till we know the problem cause&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;now please perform a small test by sending a message to the phone, and see if it works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if it doesn't &amp;nbsp;- although this solution&amp;nbsp;isn't welcomed by sony - you can install a custom ROM for your Arc S&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i had this device for over 3 years and i can tell you there are alot of pretty good customer ROMs out there, let me know if you needed further help&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;BR&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Koptan&lt;/P&gt;</description>
