Power/lock button not working, function moved to volume up

I just had my phone revived after water damage (so I'm half part on taking it to SCS because i read that the warranty will be voided if the LDI has changed its colors). Now everything is working except for the backlight flickering when auto light adjust is on especially when the backlight is low. And the other one which is serious. The power button is not functioning at all. And I discovered that when pressing the volume up, the volume would increase but after a very very short delay, the turn off/airplane mode selections would appear which would only appear when the power button would be long pressed right? And when the screen has gone to sleep, the volume up would also unsleep the screen.

The worst part. I can't let my phone dead battery, cause it automatically turns on and the hard reset button on the sim slot has no effect on it. But the power+volume up combo trick works, but the thing is, you only need to click the volume up for this to happen. Is there any quick or permanent fix for this before I go to the SCS, I'm afraid they will void the warranty of my phone and pay for a fix price cause I don't have the money.

To me, it sounds more related to a hardware issue. Thereby, it's nothing that you can do on your own. I suggest that you visit nearest service center to have your phone examined by a technician. You can contact your local support team for further information about nearest service center and/or how to proceed with this in the best possible way:

Hey, just an update. And guess what, my phone actually fixed itself. I let my phone die on its battery charge, and when I charged it the morning after, the auto-on was fixed, but the volume up key still persist and half of the display was darker than the other. So I plugged it on the wall then took it on a sony station. After they rejected it because of the LDI changing its color, the power button worked again! The best part is after an hour or so, the dispaly was also fixed. I'm amazed but I think the drying period and the bowl of rice really worked. Thanks btw for the support. Glad that my phone is back.:smileysmileythumbsup:
