Z2 tablet touch screen issue

HI,

I have had my Z2 tablet for a couple of days now and I am experiencing issues with the touch screen locking up. When using an app and I am tapping on the screen it locks up for a few seconds then starts then locks up again. The only way to get it back again is to down power the tablet and start it again. The screen works for a while but starts to play up again. I have been looking on the internet and it looks to be a common issue. Is there any solution to this?

It was recenty updated the latest version of firmware : 17.1.2.A.0.314.

Any help or info would be much appreciated.

Given the nature of the problem and what you have tried to resolve it I would advise contacting your local Xperia Care team regarding having an assessment arranged.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

good day,i figured i am one of the very few in Nigeria who posses the xperia z2 tablet wifi 2014. i however havae a problem with the screen, it cracked and i have been trying to get a replacement screen for it but to no avail. the Lcd and the entire screen craked. can u send me a replacement screen. i do not think the screen is available in Nigeria.

I have noticed this too. I have noticed it on the home screen as well as at least one game. A power cycle usually fixes it but not always.

@lenza - Given the nature of the issue you would be best to speak with your local Xperia Care team regarding what servive options are available there.

My touch screen does not work. Sometimes I can restart the Z2, and it comes on agein, but right now there is now response on the screen. Do you have a fix Sony?
