Whenever I use headphones after they are disconnected the audio no longer works for rings, alarms, messages or anything.

I've just reset my phone and it's still the same.

Check if there's dust or anything inside de 3.5mm connector

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

By reset do you mean you performed a Factory Data reset or simply restarted the handset?

If you only restarted, this may be an application fault, try clearing the Smart Connect application first.

Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Smart Connect > Clear Data.

I performed a complete factory reset in order to resolve poor performance (this was resolved) but was hoping that it would also resolve the headphones issue.
