my phone shuts down

When I make a phone call or receive a phone call my screen go's black and I can't do anything for up to 20mins later, I can't end the call I can't swipe my screen, this has only been happening for the last 3weeks what can I do I like the phone a great deal and have no other issues please someone help me

Hi Oblivion,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

if you are using a protective Sheet or a Case on the device, it is possible that these may be affecting the proximity sensor.

I suggest removing them if you are using them and see if the issue continues.
