Dedicated camera button

Hi,
does anyone knows if there is some update to dedicated camera button?
I mean I know that it was "2 steps" button so far, but maybe now it recognizes more levels when pressing?

Like there was updated to dual shock controllers in the past.
Does anyone knows? If not, does Sony has a plan to update it in the future?

Interesting!

My first thought is that more than 2 steps in the button would be a little too much to handle for casual camera users.

Which other function do you have in mind for the 3rd or 4th step in the camera button?

I mean by adding these steps the function of pressingt he button would be more smooth, in result you would almost never shake the phone when taking the picture. This would be great

I think for tactile reasons alone, it'll stay 2 step on the button.

Users need that difference to tell when they are on the focus stop so they can focus and refocus if needed. To make it a gradual smooth press in the button, could see the focus step become harder to use in manual composition image taking.

I think I agree on this view. To me it seems like less is more in this regard. I haven't tried the other option though.
