I still have Marshmallow and the nav bar is on the right hand side whichever way up I have my phone whilst in landscape mode. However I always use it with the volume keys facing up so this Nougat variation wouldn't affect me. I suppose it's actually an improvement as it gives you a choice of which side you want the nav bar.

Fixed position for navbar in landscape mode in Android 7.1.1

I have one question that no one noticed. How are we going to swipe from left side in landscape mode now when navbar is on left side? Navbar is now sometimes on left side in landscape mode and now we can not swipe menu bar from left side in Music, Album... when navbar is on left side. This dependes on how you rotate your phone. I am righthanded and it was naturale for me to have navbar on right side all time. At least Google must provide us option for always right side of navbar.

Is Sony going to look into this?

I can't acces menu bar from left side using gesture if navbar are in that psition. I have to go back and press three line to show menu bar. This is not working in Music and Album. No more pull from left for menu bar in those two apps in landscape mode when navbar is on left side. Please fix this.

This happened in 7.1.1, previously Nav bar was on the right side in Landscape modes.

Now it is in fixed position, that's near the USB connector side.

Hi @tomo100brt, I apologize for the late reply.

That is the first time I have noticed this as well, so thanks for bringing this up!

What @Sant_XZR wrote is correct, in Android 7.1.1 they are in a fixed position! Thanks for helping out!

I have the phone with the volume buttons / camera button facing upwards when it's in landscape mode and when I do that the navigation bar is on the right side. I do that because i find it easier to use the volume controls and take photos that way!

I totally understand if you rather have the phone with the volume buttons / camera button facing downwards and I will make sure to forward this information internally as user feedback!

In the meantime you will need to rotate your phone so the volume buttons are facing upwards which will make the navigation bar appear on the right side and you should have no troubles with accessing the menu bar in for example, the Album application and the Music application!

I hope that helps and thanks again for bringing this up!
