**Not sure why my post got deleted - so posting it again**

Hi All,

Basically, nobody can hear me properly during a call unless I bring the mic very close to my mouth.

I tried
1. software repair,
2. factory reset,
3. disabling 'ok google',
4. changing mic sensitivity under sound/accessory setting,,(there's no option to turn off noise suppression),
5. covering up the secondary mic ,

6. safe mode
- no luck.

Surprisingly, the phone records perfectly fine (checked both mics using the service menu). Actually it does better than my XZ premium. I also recorded a clip using the (video) camera app holding it as if I was on a call and it recorded perfectly - both mics work great. It just acts up and drops the mic sensitivity when I use the actual 'call' app.

So I'm really scratching my head at this moment - how can it be a hardware issue if the service menu/video camera app test results are better than my XZP's. Is there any known fw issues with microphones during calls on some models/fw builds (model e6553 - android 7.1.1) ? Thanks a lot!
