Settings -> backup & reset ->factory data reset, asking for password which was never set. Please anybody would help?

I tried last four didgits of my mobile number, which did't work.

just use the password that u are using for screen lock

If the above does not work, the default code for all of our handsets has always been 0000.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

Thanks Vsbrt and Sam.

Vsbrt: -I never set any passowrd for screen lock or any other fuctionality for this device.

Sam - 0000 is also not working.

It's new handset, just bought couple of days back.

After updation of software through update center, causes issue and device is affected by lock screen bypassed bug and it's showing emergency call screen.

I'm trying to reset device with factory settings , but it's asking for password.

Please advice.

i know this may be late but i accidentally solve this problem by taking a back up from new reset factory and put old backup data in backup folder in sdcard\Android\data\SonyEbr and restore it and this time did not show enter current password and restore finish successfully

0000 does not work

my old screen lock password does not work

I was not prompted to set a password.

Help!
