Touching headset connector pauses music

Listening music while walking with phone in your pocket is impossible. Even the smallest hit possible on the bud of earphones pauses the music (Spotify, YT...). I've tried with three different earphones. Should I return my device or is this a common "feature"?

that seems like faulty headphones or the phone's 3.5mm port

Since you have tried with three different headsets it does sound like this could be hardware related, as uliwooly mentioned.
I suggest that you get in touch with your Local support team for more information on how to get your phone examined at one of our authorised service centers.
