having trouble charging reader 600.usb connected to laptop , reader screen shows usb and a circle with a slash.red light on, have been trying for 2 days.

When you have the reader connected to your laptop the Reader should act as your is doing, if you have had it on charge for this long i would advise you try to rest the unit, then press the power switch to the Right for a couple of seconds, the LED should then Flash orange and the unit should start up, if however this does not then work, you will have to try a Hard reset (intructions below) however if this also does not resolve your issue can only advise you have the PRS-600 inspected for a possible fault.

PRS-600 Hard Reset - This will wipe the unit to a factory condition all files will be lost

push reset, power-cycle the device and hold “previous page” button and “Vol+” button down for ~30sec when device is starting up
