Vaio VGN-X505VP Microphone

Jackboot — Thu, 16 Sep 2004 10:54:06 GMT

I am a little confused here. Some of the specs on the web talk about the X505 having a microphone port. I have a headphone port, but no microphone port so I can olny assume that some models are different. I don't beleive the machine has an in-built microphone - I have tried to set one up without fail. So I think the only solution for me is to buy a USB microphone. Does the machine have an in-built microphone ? What solutions have other users done here ?

In VGN-X505VP specs (http://vaio.sony-europe.com) there is no microphone jack... and no built-in microphone... The solution seems to be only an external microphone..

I'm not sure I actually see the point in USB microphones but I guess there must be one. And I didn't know they existed either lol.

This is a perfect example of why they exist

They must mainly be used on notebooks though.
