Call VAIO-Link and explain the issue, they will arrange a pickup of the unit. When they pick it up, they will send it to a repair centre, and it should be back with you within a few working days.

I have a sony vaio of the PCG-FR series. I was recently using it while all of the sudden my laptop just went dead. it didnt turn back on. The power switch has no response..the laptop is literally dead. I am new to the laptop and have no idea what to do.

Do i have to call the vaio line? Do i have to sent my laptop to vaio to fix? anyone have any ideas what i should do ? i would appreciate any help.

I was using the laptop on my lap while the laptop went dead..i wonder if a fuse or such blew as my lap was covering the holes beneath the laptop..maybe it overheated and blew?

what should i do to repair my laptop..my warranty ends on september the 30th !
