Laptop taking a LONG time to start up.

Hey, i've had this laptop for about 5 weeks, everything was fine until this sunday. It would be fine until i logg in to my account, and then the desktop would load, but i couldn't click anything. I tried to click a few programmes, and nothing would open at all, until about 30-45mins later and everything i clicked opened up. It does this everytime i turn my laptop on. I've used the Vaio care thing to check if anything is wrong, i've done a full system scan with my anti-virus and used the Vaio Hardware Diagnostic programme. I'm not sure what is wrong, but when i ran the Hard Disk test, this popped up

= Surface Scan Test did not pass --- (E-HDD-004) = =Please run Check Disk to recover the wrong sector --- (E-HDD-005)=

I'm not very good with computers and stuff, and only use it for work and gaming, so i don't know how to fix it. Please, if you have any suggestions please give it ! It's driving me crazy !! Thanks in advance.
