However, when I run the recovery disks the recovery gets to 75% and then fails with error 385. I was about to run a Windows 7 installation disk but found that the recovery partition had been created on the new hard drive so I powered down the laptop and restarted using the 'assist' key but again I got the 385 error. the instruction that came up was to restart and try again but upon restart no operating system was found so I was back to square 1. </P><P></P><P>Diagnostic tests have not found any errors.</P><P></P><P>I am guessing that error 385 might indicate a problem with the created recovery disks but so far I have not been able to find out what this error means and cannot fix it.
