Unable to Recover System

Hi, I have a Vaio Desktop VGC-V2M and I am unable to Recover my system using the System Recovery Discs from Sony.

It seems there is a problem in the system recovery process when creating files to my recovery partition. The rercovery process then aborts. Please, Please, can anyone shed some light on this problem.

Welcome to Club Vaio.

I'm not sure what you have tried but I would:

1. Reset the BIOS Defaults
When booting your Vaio, press F2 repeatedly when you see the first screen with the Vaio logo.
In the BIOS choose to restore the default BIOS values.
Save and exit the BIOS.

2. Try to start the Recovery by pressing F10 repeatedly when booting at the first screen with the Vaio logo.

Do not interrupt the recovery which can take some time - even if it appears to hang for a while.
