I tried with a hard drive I had spare, formatted it and installed Linux Mint fresh on it. It worked fine for a couple days, until it diet completely. The HD works in a different computer just fine, but the vaio device does not boot at all. It turns on, but gets stuck. Even the BIOS does not load.</P><P></P><P>Is there a way of flashing the BIOS through the motherboard?
