Hmmm... where can i start

just bought my Vaio pocket & i have installed the SonicStage software and thought to down load the update before i start downloading any music...
after installing the update & i start the SonicStage it says program error.

as when trying to update music through the "VAIO music transfer" it will say that {The ATRAC HDD cannot be used with this version of VAIO music transfer}

plz can you also tell me how to put in some MP3 songs with just drag and drop????

Simple,

The anwser is within the error!

You have not updated the Hard disk drive (HDD) of the VAIO Player.

You must update the actual VAIO itself from v.2 too v.3

+ updating SonicStage and Music Transfer.

Here is the link for the update which you will use to update the HDD of the player...

Their are also extra instructions if your using WINDOWS 2000 on the page/link i have given ^^^

this is after updating it.

I have updated every thing

and my windows 2000 is using a Service Pack 4

you must re-initialise your vaio. (settings--> initialise) and update the frameware.
all data in your vaio pocket will be lost.

PS After firmware upgrade, did I need to format HDD (settings-> initialize) ?

This is solution, Red Dragon ?

- First go to settings->initialization->Format HDD
- Update firmware http://www.vaio-link.com/vaiopocket/firmware/firmware.asp?l=en
- Than install and upgrade software Sonicstage and VMT

Don't forgot to update to SonicStage 3.1and not 3.0 it causes problems with the frimeware.

Ok I've uninstalled Music #match jukebox that came with a Tevion mp3 player and everything appears to be fine
