Problem with machine password

Hi,

I´ve tryed to quit the machine password that I put some months ago. I ´ve gone to the bios and I ´ve inserted a new password, an empty password. After this I ´ve restarted the laptop saving the changes, but it still asks for a pass. The problem is that doesn´t work any password. I´ve tryed with the old pass or putting and empty pass, but nothing .I can´t even enter in the Bios.

Any solutions for this?

Yes, I called them yesterday and the guy who I spoke with, wasn´t sure what must I do but he´ll call me today. He told me something about a code that I must tell him, and he´ll send it to Sony-Japan and they will give a password to enter in the bios... That´s because I put the wrong password three times.
When I´ll get something I'll post it here for someone in the same case in the future.

OK,
They've called me from vaio-link and they've gave a generic code to enter in the BIOS. As easy as it sounds.
I don't know if I can write the code here, I guess that you should prove that the laptop is yours before knowing this code... If any 'ClubVAIO Expert' asks me to put it, I'll do it.

Glad you can access your BIOS now..

As to posting the code on Club Vaio, I think your correct owners should prove that the laptop is theirs before being given the code..

If Sony wanted everyone to know the code then I guess they would make it available in the user guides..

Yeah best not to post, we don't want a phenomina where people rob VAIOs and use this site to get into them.

Hi Zanuff,

For your information, the BIOS unlock code supplied to you by Sony is unique to your Vaio, therefore anyone with the same problem would need to contact Sony for a BIOS unlock code for the Vaio..
