    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;Has it always done this or is it a recent development?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;Try downloading something like 'PC Wizard 2010' and see if your processor is overheating - which could cause the problem.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12pt;"&gt;The other thing to check is that your drives are in DMA mode.&amp;nbsp; Direct Memory Access transfers data from your CD/DVD without sending everything through the processor.&amp;nbsp; If your drives are using PIO mode this could cause the problem.&amp;nbsp; Go to Device Manager and expand IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers.&amp;nbsp; Double-click on Primary IDE Channel -&amp;gt; Advanced Settings and check that the current transfer mode is Ultra DMA.&amp;nbsp; If it is using PIO mode, change it to DMA.&amp;nbsp; Also check the Secondary IDE Channel - there should be two devices using UDMA-your DVD/CD drive and your HDD.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.pl/html/@0248C33DDCF34AA61B8F8F33F5AFA5BE/images/smilies/013.png" alt=":wink:" title=":wink:" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
