No audio - Sony Tablet S

Morning folks, I wonder if anyone can advise on this?

I've had a SGPT111GB/S for just over a week and all seems well.

Last night I went to watch a video on youtube and I noticed I get no audio (I plugged in headphones and took them out again).

I also noticed since then I get no audio at all i.e not even any sound when i press keys for e.g to type an email, update facebook etc.

I ahve checked 'settings' and the volume is up to 100%.

Not sure what else to do?

I've had this before - reboot sorted it out. Not sure why it happened, just assume these things occasionally do!

This happens to me regularly. I think the tablet does not detect removal of headphones. Shame it happens and shame it takes a power cycle to sort it out .

Hi,

I had a similar issue & found that my tablet's audio was set to Mute..

Open Settings, then open Sound.

In Sound open Volume..

Does it show your audio is muted.?

If so close the settings screen & then press the + volume button on the right hand side of the tablet (next to power button) hopefully this should remove mute & restore sound on your Tablet..

hi thalamus, sorry but as I was saying in the op, I checked the volume settings and they are normal. (not au fait with how to copy and paste on the tab)
