I have the 9 dots as a passcode on my tablet, but I just want the padlock now where you can swipe across to the cammera, but I cant get rid of the 9 dots, any advice please.

yes you can but your tablet will not be as secure..:smileywink:

Touch on Apps & Widgets top right..

The open settings..

Then select security..

Touch on Screen Lock..

Then enter your nine digit pin code & touch continue..

Then touch on Slide..

To check gently press the power bttonto place your tablet into sleep..

Then press the power button again to wake your tablet from Sleep & you should be presented with the Padlock icon..:smileyhappy:
