Xperia S tablet constantly loading messages

I have tried to change in settings, from "Every 15 minutes" to "Every 30 minutes" but it ends up the same. The main problem is that when I'm using my home/office WiFi the constant updating collapses my @mydomain.com email as it sees the constant updating as a security threat (this is what my web hosting service have told me) I now have it on "Never" which for the moment has stopped the problem but obviously isn't ideal

with what App are you checking? you can try an alternative one from the market.

with what protocol are you checking? pop? imap? exchange? you can try the alternative one, perhaps with help from your provider.

Its the standard email app that comes preloaded on the tablet. Can you recommend another one? And yes, its POP3

i would advice to use imap or exchange format in the default email app.

pop3 is a protocol from 1990ies. unswitch 'download all' and only sync 'last days' if you want to use pop3.

K-9 Mail is a nice alternative from market for the email app.
