I've just bought a Vaio external DVD player with a peculiar connector.

The connector cable is a Sony i.Link s400 1394 Cable 4-4pin 1.5m FIREWIRE Cable DV Cable it doesn't fit my Sony Vaio Duo 13 laptop. Can anyone advise if there is an adaptor to HDMI or USB connector?

Can you give us the Model Name of the Sony DVD Player?

If iLink is the only connection then it sounds like you have bought the wrong DVD player.
