Poor clarity from image taken with Photo Pro
Can someone please explain to me why a phone being touted as having the most advanced camera system on phone produces images with with such poor detail!? I took both pictures below with P-mode in Photo Pro.
The first image has dynamic range turned on and the second auto-HDR. I know the photos are being comprised due to being JPEGs but level of clarity is not up good. My Pixel 2, which I upgraded from to 1ii, would capture much more detail in it's pictures. I know there is a lot of computational work going on, but still, I'd expect much more from a flagship phone priced at £1100!
I hope these and all the other issues (ironic all to do with cameras) are fixed soon!

Imho the one with "off" looks sharper, in the first image, look at the leaf.

You're right, I noticed the image is slightly sharper with QR off. What do you think of the P mode image?

Looks also better, left side of the image is clearer. But the composition is a hard one, even for a "normal" camera

Yeah it is harder to tell in P mode.
Auto is pretty much fine, no issues and it does a good job with HDR which helps the clarity in pictures.
They just need to fix the other modes to get that more detail and raw support.
I took this in the beer garden yesterday in auto mode.

Interesting. It seems, that, with QR on, the phones is fokussing to a different part in the picture.
I do not use the Auto Mode because it uses HDR
But, i tried it yesterday, it is just like a night mode, but only with the main lens.
In P-Mode, when i use the ISO setting (main lens goes until ISO 3200, other lenses only to ISO 1000 not practical in night) i got realy good results, no fake results, a picture like the real szene i see with my eyes.
That is, why i like the Xperia 1 II, the pictures are close to my reality

Same here... Older Xperia have better processing for front and rear cameras. Still happy using of Xperia 10 II dual, but

Sony there are 3 amazing devices for this year. Don't let any of these 3 have issues like that. Recover the 'lost space' by making these 3 as perfect as they can and mostly on camera department. Make them like.no.other.
Thank you in anticipation!
