Sound through phone on xperia 1 poor!

Anyone else with this issue

No issues on my Xperia 1. For me it's up there with the best sounds I've heard from a smartphone. Stereo speakers create better overall sound than both my XS Max and S10+, for music and video. Crystal clear speaker clarity via the top speaker on phone calls. Excellent sound and solid connection pairing with my Bose QC35ii wireless headphones.

Whilst the sound is perfect when plugged in and paired to bluetooth headphones the actual speakers are a bit lack lustre,they lack the bass notes that other so called flagship devices offer, i expected better sound coming from audio giants Sony.

Yes.

I find the speakers ok but when just talking on the phone with my ear to the phone, I think it's rubbish.

It's *miles* worse than my Pixel XL, which sounds really crisp and clear by comparison.

It's the only seriously disappointing aspect of the phone as far as I'm concerned.

On speaker, it’s not as loud as the iPhone XR playing content or on the phone. Feels like audio is coming from the back of the phone.

Over the ear, through the usb dongle and Bluetooth, all is normal.

I wouldn’t consider any of it poor or hard/difficult to listen to.
