Xperia 1 ii mirrored glass weakness
Anyone else noticed that the back, mirrored glass is far too easily marked?
I've had the phone for a few weeks, in a case, and just seen marks that seem to have been caused by dust! Dust trapped between the case and phone.
Will post photos.
Please let me know how your mirrored X1ii is looking after a month or two of standard use

It won't be dust, it will be grit.
So either buy a better case(some come with a sort of soft layer, like velvet on them, which stops this, or clean your pockets out better, to stop the grit accumulating, thus having a chance of entering the case/phone back.

I've had the exact same brand of case used on other phones... For three years on an iPhone... For over two years on a P20 Pro... Used other phones not in a pandemic lockdown... My phones are always kept in pockets without keys etc... So thanks for your velvet cushioning case pocket cleaning advice... Useful... Cheers

FYI... Phone is mirrored slate and marks are not tactile... Disappointed they're not more robust for cost

Aye you sure they're above and actually scratches on the glass, and not under it line a paint flaw

Today I also discovered a spot on the side where the color seems to be peeling off. I have the purple one.

As with any cosmetic flaw on a new device, the absolute best and only advice that we or anyone can give is to contact either:
The place of purchase if under cooling off period or 28 days.
Or your Sony local support if after the initial period.

Do you use an original Sony case to protect the phone?

No movement in that's case, it'll be a snug fit.
Are you sure the marks are above the glass and not under it/paint issues?
But the official Sony cases have like a felt lining.
