Xperia 1 start sound - turn off
Hello,
Is it possible to turn off the start sound that appears when I turn on my Xperia 1?
It is the sound that appears when I should write the pincode for my simcard to login in to the mobile.
Thanks in advance and best regards Fredrik

Are you taking about the button presses?
I've never noticed another sound...

I activated SIM lock on my Xperia 1 but I didn't notice any sounds too. Maybe it's a carrier-specific software feature? Is your phone locked to a specific operator?

My phone is not locked to a specific operator. I bought it cash and use the operator Comviq here in Sweden.

Mine does, mine has the same "ping" as the Sony logo on adverts, playstation, etc.
Sim free, uk model.

My theory now is that your customization (probably UK) has this sound, while ours (mine and @Lord_viridis) with NOBA customization do not have it.
I'm trying to get this confirmed somehow. If confirmed, then your only way to get rid of this tune is to flash the NOBA one (but you may lose your warranty in the process).
Do not consider flashing anything yet though.
