This month’s theme is ‘Street Photography’. To inspire you, why not watch this Masterclass in street photography from Paolo Mezzera, shortlisted photographer from the Sony World Photography Awards 2013.

Remember, you’re only one shot away from winning our monthly photography competition! All you have to do is upload your photographs to the Competition gallery here, and tag them with your country label.

Hello! I'm trying to upload a photo for this month's competition - Street Photography, but I keep getting this message (after upload sequence, adding tag when posting):

Please correct the highlighted errors and try again.Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.

The "highlighted errors" is the text entered in the "ENTRY SUBJECT" box.

Pictures are added in account but I'm stuck at this error.

Thank you!

hello,

I haven't found any information on preferable size or size limits (pixels x pixels) of the photos. As I take pictures using alpha 900 the files are quite big and I'm not sure full size (24Mpix) for the internet contest is a practical option.

@Maciejwol Hi. The allowed file size limit for photos is 10MB. The pixelwidth limit is 10000.

@Vaivoda Are you still receiving that error? Did you select a label before posting?

Good evening,

Could you please tell me if the copyright of the photographer is violated in any way by joining this competition?

Kind regards,

Eachat

Hi eachat,

if you read the terms and conditions it looks like Sony photo contests are the most entrants' friendly ones. Basically you only allow the organizers to use your works to promote the contest you joined.

Dear Maciejwol, I read the terms and conditions very well. That's excactly why I asked my question. There's not much info here concerning copyright and I am past the point of just assuming every company will respect this issue...
