Please, explain your question. Otherwise this is the simplest answer: use an iphone camera to take photos 😅

The whole screen is showing, the battery is fully charged, and the 'O' is flashing.

That's  it, I don't know what to do to stop the 'O' flashing and set to take photos.

Does the manual for the camera not have any reference to what this O means, have you looked under

the troubleshooting section.

You really need to give us more information than you already are, we cannot read your mind or see your cameras screen.

For example you haven't told us which Sony camera you are tempting to use.

Have you taken the lens cap off?

Can you use your camera phone to take a picture of what the screen is showing

and post the image back here.

Thanks. I haven;t been able to find the manual.
Yes, I have taken the lens cap off and I have several times given
Sony A900 as the make and model. I assumed someone who also has an A900
would respond.

Where in this thread have you previously mentioned that it is a Sony A900.

Have you done all the basic checks, SD inserted, SD formatted correctly, make sure the SD card is not locked (small switch at the side of the card), SD card not full.

Have you powered off and turned on again.

Do Sony lenses need to be rotated before they can be used.

Here is a link to the online manual,

The yellow 'O' bottom right is my problem. I've had the camera for many
years and never seen it flash before. I have always been able to adjust
settings immediately.
I got into the manual but failed to find the 'O'.

You have not attached an image to this thread, please do so.

From the manual the only numerical indicator on the bottom right of the display

would be to indicate the number of shots left that can be stored on the memory card.

If it is flashing 0 that would indicate the card is full.

Have you checked to see if the card is full.

Take the card out insert a different one and format it, if you do that can you now take pictures.

If not can you describe in more detail what is going on and please include images.
