I have a Sony (obviously) Bravia KD65XH9269BU purchased December 2020. The BBC iPlayer, ITVX and 4 apps have all gone and when searching the result says they're not available for my device. Any help would be much appreciated.

First up have you tried restarting the TV, long press on the power button and select Restart.

Have you tried a power cycle, switch off, unplug, wait two minutes. Plug and start up.

There was an update for the TV released last week, have you applied this update,

Are you trying to access these apps via the You View and Catch Up service or via the inputs button on the remote control.

I take it your WiFi or ethernet connection to your router is okay.

Have you restarted the router?

Anything els you may have tried?

Thank you, I'll try those suggestions later. So far i have searched Google Play via the Home screen.

If you press the Inputs button on the remote control and click right along the onscreen 'ticker tape' the icons for iPlayer, ITV X, 4 and 5 should appear, clicking these should launch the app.

If you do not see these apps in the ticker tape click all the way to the right til you get to the end and click on Edit.

Another ticker tape of apps and inputs will show at the bottom of the screen.

Select each app that you want to appear in the inputs menu by clicking on it, a blue tick should appear.

After selecting the apps you want to see click on Close.

From the inputs menu select one of the apps like ITV X, does it now launch.

Thanks Dveyh64. I tried the first things you suggested without success. It is worth noting at the moment, that before these apps disappeared, on the Homescreen there was an annoying Rail called Sony Selects in which all the apps appeared along with many others I considered bloatware such as Rakuten Tv. There is also a Rail called My Favourite apps which had all the apps i watched including iPlayer, ITVX, 4, 5, Netfix etc. I kept deleting all the apps I didn't want in the Sony Selects Rail but they kept coming back.

So, I noticed last night when trying your suggestions, that the Sony Selects Rail has disappeared and this may have been at the same time as the apps disappeared from the My Favourite Apps Rail.

So I did a search on the + at the end of the Favourites Rail and a list of installed apps came up, one of which was Sony Selects. I clicked to move it into My Favourite Apps which it did, and the ITVX and 4 apps are in that Sony Selects app, somehow and they both launch and work ok.

So I guess the question now is how do I get the ITVX and 4 apps from the Sony Selects app into the My Favourites Rail as they are not actually showing as installed individually, only in the Sony Selects app. The Google Play search still shows that the apps are not available for my device.

So does anyone know how I can get apps from the Sony Select app into the Favourite apps rail? In this case, ITVX and 4.

For clarity, on the main app list, iPlayer is showing as installed and shows on Favourite Apps rail , but ITVX and 4 are showing as not installed and "not available on this device".

However, on the Sony Select app, iPlayer is there but not showing as installed, however ITVX and 4 are showing as installed but not on main app list and not on Favourite apps rail.
