Apologies for long post!

Recently purchased a KDL-43WF663 thinking it was android. Reading some reviews, apparently it’s not....

I can’t seem to find the google play app and I’m having trouble connecting it to my WiFi extender. 
YouTube stopped connecting when connected to my home WiFi so I bought a WiFi extender and it still wouldn’t work so done a factory reset and YouTube works now but only connected to my home WiFi not extender. 
any ideas.....

It is definitively not andorid so you will never find google play on it, I am sorry. If the tv connects and work with your home wifi probably you have not setup correctly the extender, you should get some help on it before checking anything on the tv
