I recently purchased an old handycam and I’ve been trying to charge the batteries but to no avail. The camera switches on with no issues when I plug in the DC cable but it seems that the battery doesn’t charge. I’ve tried charging the batteries using an external charger but it’s still doesn’t power up when I insert the battery on the handycam. Though, I did not charge the batteries full. Do I need to replace the batteries or is the handycam faulty?
