How to digitise Mini DVD's
Hi
I have a lot of Mini DVD's cassettes filmed on a Sony DCR-TRV11E that I want to digitise. I can't work out what cables are required to connect the handycam (which has an AV connection) to my Mac. I've asked Apple support but they seem clueless. Has anyone done this and know what cable(s) are required?
Thanks

Thanks Hannah.
Unfortunately I have a Mac not a Windows PC and the link at the top of the page doesn't work. I've tried searching the article/link via Google but can't find it.

Thanks Marino.
I will look at getting a firewire to thunderbolt cable to import with iMovie.
How can I check if the OS will support the transfer?

Also, looking at firewire to thunderbolt adapters, dot you know if I would need a firewire 800 port or 400 one?
Thanks

Find your Mac's specifications online or on the Apple Support pages. The same for iMovie or the acquisition software, among the software specifications there will be compatibility with the formats that the program manages.
