Using HXR-MC50E as live streaming camera

Hi everybody!

Just got our new HXR-MC50E camera and it seems great in many ways.

But one thing bothers me: I can not get it to stream video live over USB to a connected computer.

Is this really a missing feature or have I missed out on some setting?

We regularly broadcast live video with our old DV-cams with firewire or USB. I took for granted that this would work on the MC50 too.

Hi torbjorn_l, welcome to the Sony Forums

It's seems unlikely that you can't live stream with this model, but I'm not really familiar enough with it to advise you.

I've escalated your question to our Technical Support team and will post their reply here as soon as I get it.

I might be a little bit late to the party but I am having the same problem. How can I connect my Mc50E to laptop for live streaming?

Hi I am trying to live stream with my HDR-XR520  Can any one help please, I have play memories home to down load but need to stream live. Thanks
