Hello!
I'm trying making macro with Sony A7, but autofocus working bad for short distances and for "big" objects on the photo. Is there any way to manually control (increasing/decreasing) focus distance (distance at which a lens focused) in MF mode without autofocus? Maybe i need an additional application on the camera?
Thanks!
Hi Andrew,
Which lens are you using with your A7?
For macro shots you should use a dedicated macro lens - e.g. https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/lenses/t/camera-lenses?cameramount=e-mount&type=macro-lenses.
The minimum focus distance of a lens can't be changed.
When shoting macro objects you should use manual focus and a tripod.
Camera needs to be mounted very stable and shouldn't shake when taking the picture.
Cheers
PD
I'm using FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6.
It's not so macro and i'm using manual focus and a tripod.
The distance between object and the lens more or same as minimum,
and while an autofocus searching the distance i can see sharp image, but the autofocus skiping that.
I know that some lenses (Ex. https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/camera-lenses/selp28135g) have a separate focusing ring. It's not depends to macro, it's a general question, is it possible to manually control/set current focus distance of a lens (without focusing ring) in the manual focus mode?
