Remote Control Failure

My main remote has suddenly stopped working. I've taken the batteries out for a while, changed them for new ones etc and it's still not working. My other slimmer one for voice control etc works fine and I can use it in the meantime. If the main one has failed, shouldn't Sony replace it? I've only had my TV for a few months. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

Sony support are useless, my slim, voice control remote has a dodgy button after 3 months use. They said that because its a mechanical failure they will charge for a replacement. Clearly not fit for purpose. Sony products used to be quality, not any more!
