Our HT-ZF9 with rear surround speakers puts out some terrific sound. But, almost two years on, annoying random audio drop-outs continue. The unit, along with all of our other gear, is connected to our Sony KD65XF9005 with high-quality HDMI 2.0 cables. This issue was documented by consumers shortly after the HT-ZF9 was introduced two years ago. We keep the system software up-to-date. Hard resets by cutting power to the unit work as a fix less and less.
I'm stunned that Sony has not come up with a resolution yet.
Is anyone else still experiencing this problem. Has anyone solved the problem?
Hi,
Not an issue. The connectors are indeed hidden in those locations. I think the sub one just needs prising off.
Apologies, but I don’t remember if the sounds cuts were from both, or just the sub. Certainly since hardwiring the sub they went away.
Hope that helps.
Hi Mark,
You are right, this is exactly what Sony have done. Washed their hands off the product. I have seen hundreds of people from all over the world with this problem . Truth is there is no solution. It is a factor fault which comes up after about a year or two of using the system. All the Sony authorised centres here in the UK have rejected it, they are all avoiding it, they'll just give you some silly excuse like 'The mother board cant be reached' 'We don't touch it'
