Microphone lag

Hello guys.

I'm having a problem with my XL. For me it look's like it's a microphone lag.

Like when someone call me they can't hear me for a period of 2 second's. After that period we can normaly talk.

Even this thing happens on apps like Snapchat or Instagram.

I have no idea how to fix it. Do you know ? Is that a software or a hardware issue ?

Maybe I have something wrong set up in my phone. I'm on latest firmware 2.17.

Any help from Sony or other people facing same issue ?

In that case I suggest that you repair the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone"

If the problem still persists I suggest that you have your phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local support for more information:

Do you experience the same thing when you are recording a video using the camera application?

Try to start the phone in safe mode to see the problem might be caused by some 3rd party application in your phone:

Hi.

Yes i do experience same thing during recording on the camera application.

I boot into the safe mode, record a video and a lag still was there. Looking at the both videos recorded in safe mode and on a normal using the lag was a half a second smaller in safe mode than in normal mode but still there was a second and a half of a lag.

I've had my phone for around a month and a half, and have never had this problem until yesterday, however I cannot hear the person calling me either!  I have to say "hello" twice and then the conversation can continue normally.

It's annoying, but not annoying enough to do a software restore.

I'll put up with it until they release a new software version.  Really just replying to add a "me too" to the thread!
