A bug in ICS? After official upgrade

My mobile's wifi is turned on & is connected to my modem & the internet connection is working perfectly fine, but the phone is unable to use wifi for more than a minute.

Everytime i turn off the wifi & turn on again, it works, like for a minute & gone. Signal strength is full. Though the upload, download arrows beside wifi icon in the notification shows me that only there's upload action but no download action.

I have done a settings reset as well, but the problem persists.

Is anybody sailing in my boat as well? (My SI No. 1261-6397, Location: Hyderabad, India)

i had this problem after update to ics from gb. to fix this i changed my router setting from b,g,n mixed to just b,g and changed chanel from auto to 1. it has been perfect ever since. seems it doesn't like wireless n. hope this helps you. another bug ive encountered is txt and email notification sound stops working after a few hours and you have to reboot to get it working again.

sorry bud i was eating my tea. to get to the routers set up page on a windows pc. control panel then network and internet then view computers and devices you should then see your router, right click and then click view device webpage, from there you can change router settings. hope this helps. if you need any other info just message me.

It's done. Now i have a consistent wifi.

Thanks mate for the help.

I have a question, what if i wanted to use another wifi connection? As in shared ones like airport/coffee shops etc? I cannot change their wifi settings right

What then?

As of now all's well though, I wish sony could come out with a stable firmware at least this year.
