what do i need to hook my mini pro to a computer? and where do i get one?

sounds ridiculous, but i've been to the Source, Staples, and they say the usb cable is proprietary.  I contacted rogers where i bought the phone and they said contact Sony.  I mean really, the cable should have been incljuded with the phone.  so what do I need?  would rather buy it on ebay if I can.

that's really odd, double check the part where you connect it to the wall, are you sure it's not a

micro usb on one end then USB on the other end that connects to the wall socket?

Propietary? Xperia mini pro, like the majority of the new phones, uses MicroUSB to charge and connect to a PC. It's a standard and easy to find. The cable you need is included in the box, the same you use to charge the phone (the one you attach to the wall charger). Just remove the wall charger and use it in the USB port of your PC.

any micro USB should do

Nope, my mini pro came with a cable which attaches to my phone, and the other end is a regular plug which I plug into my wall socket.  no other cable. and i had 1 which was defective, so i returned it and got another, and both only came with a cable that plugs into a socket.  both staples and the source say the phone connection is wierd -- rectangular, not narrow at one end, wider at the other.
