Xperia Play will NOT turn on at all?!?!?

So I have had my Xperia Play for a couple months, no real issues til now. Went to check my phone and it would not turn on? I have had it on the charger for about 45 mins now and the yellow light turned to a green light(on the power button) but it still will not turn on or even show that it is charging or anything. Kind of confused and worried at the moment. I don't know if it is just that dead or what. I couldn't find any information on what the problem could be.

Anybody have any answers for me?

Ok... update... my phone is on I believe just the screen went black... I can hear it recieving txt messages or emails or something but the screen won't turn on?

update your phone with this..

since you cannot see anything you cant backup your files..

updating will delete all the phone's data , memory card will not be affected..

if it says your phone is up to date click on install anyway..

do this and tell me the results..

if the above doesnt helps , go to your service centre nearby to get it check for some hardware problems..
